Darren Campbell is President of the Bicycle Business Unit and part-owner at Hayes Performance Systems. Starting here in 1997 as an engineering intern, Darren is one of the original members of Hayes Bicycle Group, a manufacturer of Hayes disc brakes, Manitou suspensions, SUNRinglé wheels, Reynolds Cycling wheels, ProTaper components, Answer apparel, and Wheelsmith spokes.

Darren has held key roles in all aspects of the business through significant growth periods, strategic acquisitions, and global startups. A Wisconsin native, Darren is an outdoorsman, sports enthusiast, husband, and proud father of two. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from UW-Milwaukee. Darren’s philanthropic activities include serving as Chairperson of the Board of Trustees for the Wisconsin chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and participating in various bicycle rides and runs for other local causes.
